This remodel focused on three spaces that had fallen behind the rest of the home: the basement, the bathrooms, and the master bedroom. Each had grown outdated over time, and each needed more than a cosmetic refresh to feel like it belonged in the home the family had built around it.
The basement saw the most dramatic change, reimagined as a true lower-level living space rather than storage overflow. A custom wine room adds a dedicated space for collecting and entertaining, while a new family room — anchored by a stone fireplace with a limestone hearth and custom bookshelves built by Hart Woodworking — gives the home a warm, gathering-focused space that didn't exist before. Hickory wood flooring, installed over an insulated subfloor system, keeps the level comfortable and livable year-round rather than feeling like a basement at all.
Upstairs, the bathrooms and master bedroom were reworked with function as the priority — updated layouts and finishes that make daily routines easier without losing the character of the home.
Together, the work turned three overlooked spaces into some of the most-used rooms in the house.
