Jay Sackrider
Jay is a Petoskey/Harbor Springs area native and is a co-owner of McBride Custom Homes. Jay started his career under the guidance of a true master craftsman (His Father) and decided very quickly that he wanted to own his own construction company. Jay has always believed in an employee-first company that ultimately creates the best experience for everyone involved in the project. With a proper work/life balance, clients and families are never compromised. Jay knows that owning a successful company is only possible with an excellent support team. His wife, Dallas, and two sons, Gavin & Grady, are a true driving force that helps keep true success in focus. One of the true joys is creating lifelong partnerships as we create inspiring homes/spaces for generations to come.

Aaron Cummings
Aaron is a co-owner of Mcbride Custom Homes, with twenty eight years of experience in the construction industry Aaron is inspired to create dream homes for people in the town that he grew up in. His passion for quality work is supported by his value of honesty and trust with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers alike. He believes that building these relationships is a vital part of business as well as life. His favorite part of the home construction process is starting with a client's vision and seeing that take shape and become a reality. Being able to hand over something that was once just a dream is very rewarding for him. When he is not in the office Aaron loves spending time golfing, boating, and traveling with his wife Ashley. They love to enjoy all that Northern Michigan has to offer.

Paul Drayer
Paul joined the McBride team in 2018 as our production coordinator and ascended quickly to the role of Lead Designer. He has over four years of experience in construction and over 23 years in home design, with a Bachelor of Science from the U of M School of Architecture.
Believing that collaboration plays a key role in the design process, Paul enjoys working with the client to create a design that meets their needs. He partners with clients through the design process to ensure their expectations are not only met but exceeded.
Paul serves on the board of trustees for the Harbor Springs Library, holds the position of committee chairman of Scouts Troop 55, and is also a Knights of Columbus member. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their three kids and volunteering for their various extracurricular activities.

Julie Kuchnicki
Julie joined the McBride team in November 2018 as our administrative assistant. She has certifications in accounting and Excel from North Central Michigan College. With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, Julie strives to provide the best customer experience for clients from beginning to end.
Julie has been married to her husband, Joe, for more than 30 years. She enjoys traveling, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, gardening, and golfing in her spare time.

Mike Sackrider
Production Manager Mike Sackrider joins McBride Custom Homes bringing close to 40 years of experience as a licensed builder. He worked for a family business as well as owned his own company. Mike is a great asset to our team and shows endless dedication to the projects he works on.
When he’s not on the job site making our clients dreams a reality, he can be found enjoying the beautiful views of Northern Michigan and biking with his wife.

Greg Pieknik
While studying Business Administration in Finance and Law at Saginaw Valley State University, Production Manager Greg Pieknik worked framing homes — a path that would eventually lead him to McBride. The dedication, sense of responsibility, and leadership skills gained from his time in the National Guard help him excel at organizing and overseeing homeowners’ projects from start to finish.
In his free time, Greg enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Greg is also an avid conservationist and horticulturist and is working on methods to grow vegetables for his family year-round in Northern Michigan.

Curt Bartz
Curt brings more than 30 years of experience and remodeling know-how to his job as project coordinator. He has a proven track record of effectively ordering and scheduling materials and installations for projects to keep them on time and on budget.
When he’s not at work, he enjoys spending time outdoors picking blackberries, camping with his family, and deer hunting on Drummond Island.

Brenna Hart
Brenna recently graduated from Northern Michigan University with her bachelor's in marketing. After two summers being an intern for the company, she is now the Director of Marketing at McBride Custom Homes. (So if you are ever wondering about the face behind all of the accounts…hey thats me!) When she is not at work she enjoys baking, golfing, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. On top of all of that her and her fiance Liam are deep in the midst of wedding planning.

Lindsey Ostrowski
Lindsey was born and raised in Traverse City and has spent the last few years working in administrative roles. She spends her summers on the water and enjoys snowboarding in the winter months. Lindsey recently moved to the Petoskey area and joined the McBride team as our administrative assistant. When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her dog Maisy.

Tom Beyer
Tom, a graduate of the Vinyl Siding Institute, is also Lead Safe Certified and CPR trained. Tom has been a pivotal member of the team for more than 40 years.
Tom’s philosophy is always to do the best work possible. His work ethic is at the forefront of his mind, and his level of craftsmanship and efficiency is second to none.

Shaun Verville
Shaun joined the team in June 2013. Shaun has been working in the construction field for more than 20 years in the Ashland, WI, Iron River, MI, and Petoskey/Boyne City areas.
Shaun is Lead Safe Certified, a CertainTeed Certified Installer, and is First Aid/CPR/AED certified through the American Heart Association. He strives to exceed client expectations on every job with quality workmanship and job-site efficiency. Shaun also volunteers with the Boyne City Fire Department.

Jacob Coats
Jacob originally joined our team in June of 2016 as a seasonal carpenter helper. In 2018 he started working full-time and has been shadowing our lead carpenters on various projects. Jacob has more 6 years of construction experience, successfully completed the building trades program at Petoskey High School, and graduated from the Industrial Arts Institute in the Construction program.
Jacob also volunteers as a member of the Tip of the Mitt QDMA to help promote better hunting practices in Northern Michigan.

Stratton Zervoudakis
Stratt, as he prefers to be called, is a Grand Rapids native and joined McBride in January 2021. He moved to Petoskey after graduating from Northern Michigan University in Marquette in 2015.
When he’s not working on a job site, you’ll find Stratt outside hunting or fishing and spending time with his family.

Al Rigney
In November of 2023, Al and his wife relocated to Northern Michigan with the intention of retiring and building their own home. However, Al soon realized he still had a passion for construction and found a great fit with McBride. Outside of work and building his home, Al enjoys going on trail rides with his quads and Jeeps, as well as spending time with his family.

Kanden Behling
Growing up in Boyne City and attending high school there Kanden got involved in the building trades program and fell in love with the craft. He then went on to further his education in building trades at NMC in Traverse CIty and is now working towards getting his builders license.
In his free time Kanden enjoys spending time in the beautiful Northern Michigan outdoors and hanging out with friends.
